My passion has always been to help educate others on how to live their best life which includes exercise, nutrition and clean-eating. Healthy foods that are organic and are balanced will support your efforts. Regular physical activity, ensuring you get ample regular sleep and managing stress are so important.
I will post different content on my social media sites. TikTok, Instagram/Facebook and YouTube. Each channel will provide slightly different engaging content to help you grow your knowledge and improve your health.
My Story
First, let me share a little about myself. I grew up on a farm with my family. Currently I work in the healthcare field and reside in Illinois. Have always had interest in nutrition. Knowing and understanding what fuels my body and makes me healthy has been an area that I love.
My passion for running started while in high school. During college, I began weight lifting and bulked up in size. My focus shifted from running into body building.
As I progressed in weight training, the pull to come back to my love of running pushed me to enter a competitive race. I thought with my background I could easily go back to my high school days of running.
I was wrong! I realized that as I was training, I was out of shape, I had the muscle but lacked the cardio needed to be competitive. I focused on the right exercises, nutrition and training to get me back into shape. I began to win 5k and 10k races finishing in 1st place. Until I got injured!
From this injury, my doctor informed me that I had an accessory bone in my ankle that was sheering my achilles tendon. He advised that I had to have it removed surgically or I would not be able to continue my love of running.
I had to start over from the bottom and work my way up. As I began this journey, I realized the importance of health and well-being. After my surgery, I was extremely motivated and used swimming and the use of a rowing machine to get me back in shape. I went from zero to placing first place and winning a number of races.
From this experience, I wanted to inspire others and motivate them to eat better and exercise. Being in healthcare has also helped me learn about the body and fitness. My goal is to reach as many people and help them improve their lives and hopefully make a difference!
